The Garbutt Bombers is a Junior AFL club in the Townsville AFL competition.
Our Motto is “Strong Smart and Deadly”
We have teams in Under 9, 11,13 for boys and girls, Under 15 & 17 for youth boys and Under 16 for youth Girls
The Garbutt Bombers work in collaboration with the Garbutt Magpies who are our Senior club.
The Bombers with the Magpies, are focused on intergenerational support to create a special supportive environment that encourages excellence and participation. The “Boys to Men” and “Girls to Women” cultural programs play an important role in building our motto and vision which is “Strong Smart and Deadly”. We actively seek opportunities to develop strategies that build community engagement with our camping programs.
Elders who were past players with the Garbutt Magpies provide a strong cultural component to the Garbutt Bombers experience.
Our home field is Harold Phillips Park – 4 Hugh Street in Garbutt
